Stop Stigma
Physician Quality Improvement (PQI) is elective training for physicians and clinicians to address problem areas at their hospitals and in the community. This is done using “improvement science”.
In collaboration with doctors and volunteers at Burnaby Hospital, the team designed a series of posters aimed at engaging physicians and drawing them to the Peer Support Program for Physician Wellness and the tools that exist to prevent and counsel those who are in the midst of a mental health crisis.

Project Goal
Ultimately, to minimize the stigma around mental illness in physicians at Burnaby Hospital.
Design a series of posters to bridge the gap between physicians struggling with mental health and the resources that exist to help them.
Measure interactions by creating unique QR codes for each poster, using analytics tools to track which posters are gauging the most [interaction????] and where the most [interaction????] occurs in the hospital for future print advertising.
Design Rationale
Quotes were contributed by Dr. Lingsa Jia, a specialist in addiction medicine.
Bold quotes as the primary focus allow physicians and clinicians in a hospital environment to connect immediately with the message.
Statistics were added as an additional measure to further reach viewers.
Blue was chosen as the main colour palette. The colour is connects the cliché association with sadness and depression to its relationship to health care, that being hygiene and pacificity.
